Shannon Mcnevan - ceo

Born and raised in Peterborough Ontario, Shannon attended Bowdoin College in southern Maine on a hockey scholarship before taking his hockey career to Germany where he began managing professional hockey teams. After turning around 3 separate franchises and becoming one of the leading general managers in Europe, Shannon shifted his focus and turned his entrepreneurial spirit towards music. In 2011, McNevan founded, what has since become, the largest country camping music festival in Canada and second largest globally at 45,000 daily attendees. Boots and Hearts is the reigning CCMA Festival of the year for 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2016.

In 2015, McNevan launched the WayHome Music and Arts Festival in partnership with AC Entertainment.  With headliners Neil Young, Sam Smith, and Kendrick Lamar, plus 60+ other acts from varying genres, WayHome became the largest first-year music festival launch in North America in the last decade at 32,000 daily attendees.

Don Green - president

Don was born and raised in Peterborough, Ontario prior to obtaining a Bachelor of Commerce degree from McMaster University. As a graduate hire, Don had a rewarding twenty-year-plus career at Bell Canada gaining extensive business and leadership experience in a diverse range of senior management roles, including marketing, sales, public relations, and strategic planning. 

In 2006, Don joined Puretracks, a digital music provider, as Vice-President Operations where he successfully led and evolved all operational functions ranging from finance and human resources to client and project management.

In 2010, Don joined the Canadian Country Music Association as President where he led and delivered the transition of this forty-plus year-old trade organization into a efficiently-managed world-class brand. 

Adam Skuse - vice president

After nearly a decade of consulting for many of Wall Street's top financial institutions, Adam decided to marry his professional ability with his passion for music.  From 2013-2016, Adam served as the Operations and Technology Director for Boots & Hearts and WayHome where he built out the company’s technology platform and overall operating framework including designing a comprehensive CRM solution to support marketing automation and sponsorship efforts.  

Adam's expertise in analytics and business process engineering provides Starseed with an unparalleled level of operational efficiency and business intelligence. His ability to leverage all available data to contextualize outcomes, assess strategic success, and provide actionable insight make him an invaluable resource to Starseed’s roster.
